Rooted Through Recovery was born from a simple realization: many people find sobriety, stop a behavior, or leave a destructive pattern behind, yet still struggle to feel truly free.
After years of personal recovery, professional training, and working alongside individuals navigating addiction, trauma, grief, and life transitions, it became clear that healing is about far more than abstinence. Traditional approaches often focus on changing behavior, while the underlying wounds, nervous system patterns, and survival responses that drive those behaviors remain largely untouched.
Rooted Through Recovery was created to bridge that gap.
Drawing from neuroscience, trauma informed care, mindfulness, somatic practices, recovery principles, and lived experience, the program offers a holistic path that honors the whole person. It recognizes that addiction and compulsive behaviors do not exist in isolation. They are often intertwined with pain, disconnection, shame, unresolved experiences, and nervous system adaptations that once helped a person survive.
Rather than asking people to simply “stop” a behavior, Rooted Through Recovery invites participants to understand themselves with curiosity and compassion. Through a structured twelve step framework, individuals learn to build awareness, develop capacity, strengthen regulation, repair relationships with themselves and others, and create meaningful, sustainable change.
At its heart, Rooted Through Recovery is about coming home to yourself. It is a reminder that healing is not about becoming someone new. It is about reconnecting with the person who has been there all along, beneath the survival strategies, waiting to be seen, supported, and restored.

Each of the 12 steps in Rooted Through Recovery unfolds over four weekly sessions, making space for slow integration, nervous system safety, and real transformation.
Every week includes:
A Mantra
A trauma-informed, body-based affirmation to anchor your nervous system and rewire subconscious patterns. These mantras are gentle invitations — not forced beliefs — that evolve as you do.
A Weekly Reading
Each week features a deep, reflective reading — written to feel like being seen. These pieces explore the week’s step through the lens of trauma, nervous system repair, somatic psychology, inner child healing, grief, boundaries, reparenting, addiction, and more.
A Guided Meditation
Trauma-informed meditations crafted for nervous system regulation, healing shame, reconnecting with the body, and reprogramming subconscious beliefs. Each meditation is designed to meet you gently — even if you dissociate, freeze, or struggle to sit still.
Reflection Questions
Ideal for small groups or peer support, these open-ended questions allow for shared insight, storytelling, and connection — without pressure. They’re rooted in compassion.
Journal Prompts
Four weekly prompts to deepen your personal journey, help you process emotion, explore inner truths, and build somatic awareness. These are not “homework” — they’re invitations to explore what’s alive in you.
Step Based Somatic Practices
Trauma Informed body based reflection that can be returned to over and over throughout the step when complicated feelings or triggers arise.
